Chester Gould, Dick Tracy. Lots of early front covers — as usual at the fabulous Golden Age Comic Book Stories (Part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4).

Na also, geht doch. Found at my garden centre just round the corner. Excellent, but still unbelievable. More info regarding this rather unfortunate matter can be found here and here. I couldn't find any Sauerkraut seeds though. What a disappointment. Anyway, I'm sure Horst will like the fact that it's Purple Vienna Kohlrabi.

Still working on Roper. Expressions of Roper's face. Don't worry, normal blogging will continue soon, but first I need to design a certain raygun, which is the key to the story. Or possibly not.

I'm working on something. Something that could become really big, if only I can find the time. I wrote the story on Friday and yesterday, lots of my characters that appear regurlarly on this blog are making an appearance (Yes, even Basil drops by!) and now it's just a matter of bringing it all to artboard, scanning it in, photoshopping and so forth. Ha.
I'm thinking of about 40-60 pages here, and I'll start looking for a publisher once the first third is done - if I ever make the first third. I definitely won't publish it on Lulu. Anyway, here are the first two pages; I might change things around a bit, this is still a bit rough, and I'll also most probably do the lettering myself rather than using one of those Comicraft fonts. Let's see how it goes. Click on the links below the pics to embiggen them.
