At last; it took me almost the whole day to get this thing done. Damn Raygun. No embiggenment supplied.

Expressions of Roper's face. Don't worry, normal blogging will continue soon, but first I need to design a certain raygun, which is the key to the story. Or possibly not.

Something that could become really big, if only I can find the time. I wrote the story on Friday and yesterday, lots of my characters that appear regurlarly on this blog are making an appearance (Yes, even Basil drops by!) and now it's just a matter of bringing it all to artboard, scanning it in, photoshopping and so forth. Ha.
I'm thinking of about 40-60 pages here, and I'll start looking for a publisher once the first third is done - if I ever make the first third. I definitely won't publish it on Lulu. Anyway, here are the first two pages; I might change things around a bit, this is still a bit rough, and I'll also most probably do the lettering myself rather than using one of those Comicraft fonts. Let's see how it goes. Click on the links below the pics to embiggen them.

For Z & Q. About time, and I'll do the colour version later, when I'm not as lazy as I'm today. Still waiting for Zoe's next podcast though - I've actually asked some serious questions, which I hope Q will be able to answer.

So you know: cartooning is actually hard work. I'm probably going to bore you now with this entry, but then I really don't care. Enjoy it or don't. Anyway, I had this idea for a cartoon:
The first idea and the brush drawing.
Trying to get the copy right.
 Final text, final drawing.
The coloured drawing. The big cheese. The incredible award-winning cartoon. Done.
Kids, don't try this at home. It's incredibly dangerous and takes at least a day's work getting a funny drawing done. Trust me, I'm a Cartoonist.
