I've blogged him before, but Moonwalker Alan Bean's website has grown enormously, there are now at least a hundred of his moon-related paintings, if not more. I think they're great, but still can't decide whether this is art or kitsch. Well, he surely knows how to use a brush and acrylics.
Mhm, thinking about it, I actually want one of those.
"[These photos] came from a collection of over 400 Polaroid photos of strippers trying out for dancing jobs at a So. Cal club. They were taken from the late 1960's thru the early 1970's. I bought the entire collection for $10 from a senior advisor of mine in art school."
It was raining and The Prospect of Whitby was closed due to refurbishment, so Plep, Konstantin, Mr BaliHai and myself had some nice warm beers and hot food at the Captain Kidd Pub just down the road. We chatted about the Moon Landings, Batman, the X-Men, Conspiracies, and Scientology. A rather nice Blogmeet it was.
Headlines, all from Quick, Die aktuelle Illustrierte, Nr. 38, Jahrgang 4, September 1951. Nothing much has really changed, has it? Those headlines could all be today's Big Brother headlines. But the typography is great. And yes, you'll probably need to scroll down a bit.
I'm incredibly busy with proper work. Here's another schoolbook illustration, and yes, it's Monday. Probably nothing tomorrow - see you on Wednesday. Or Thursday.
The FCB Hamburg Christmas card from the late 80s. Original idea (if I remember correctly) by Wolf; illustration by ChrisScheuer. Oh, those were the days.
And the FCB link doesn't work, it leads to some sort of 'Under Construction' website. Typical.
Unfortunately there don't seem to be any thumbnails and the slideshow isn't working either — I'm afraid you'll just have to follow the links. But they're worth following. Those are nice examples of TV/Comic Book history.
And I just hope it won't screw up my blog, because I simply copied the source code from an email I've received. Anthony, many thanks!

And who's 264? Find out below, presented in appalling YouYube quality.
Update: I'm uploading this as an MP4 now. Let's see if it's any better. Sorry about the deleted comments, this isn't my fault. Or it probably is, who knows.
