Photo, found in a Box [3]. Soldier, soldier. No idea where that photograph might have been taken, but it must have been during WWI. Somewhere in the Ardennes? No, I guess der Ardennenfeldzug was about 28 years later. They never learn, do they? A click on the picture leads you to the watermarked HiRes version at 300dpi.

Vinyl. Finally, after more than 10 years, I have space again for my old Dual turntable and the NAD amplifier. Forget MP3s. Forget CDs. It's been a long time I've heard something as crystal-clear as this. Fabulous, just fabulous. I've got to disassemble the NAD tomorrow in order to get rid of mountains of dust; when turning the volume it makes a horrendous crackling noise and bass and treble don't seem to work anymore. Is there still a thing available called Contact-Spray? I think I'll need it.

And, by the way: if anyone of my readers is interested in purchasing The Velvet Underground and Nico, first edition (1967), mono, banana still intact, Eric Emerson not airbrushed out on the back, then please leave a comment with an offer. Serious ones only. Fanx.
