Speaking of which, may I remind my dear readers of Mecca Ibrahim's book, One Stop Short of Barking, which of course features cartoons by yours truly?

Because it's a beautiful product shot. Glasses 'Smoke' by Joe Colombo. The large original image can be found here. And yes, these are the glasses used in Raumpatrouille. Looking at it again, I believe this is airbrushed. Strange picture.

For Lonesome Astronauts. The Raumpatrouille theme as sung by Virginie Rodin in 1967 [MP3, 1.1MB]. Here's the original by Peter Thomas [MP3, 416kb]. Glasses by Joe Colombo. Laser weapons by eBay. Design and photography by Marc Heinrichs (Marc, thanks!). 'Lonesome Astronaut' title by Hanns Kneifel (In fact, it's track 28 on the 'Raumpatrouille - The Complete Music' CD).

Creativity and such. Hugh MacLeod, the bloke who became more or less famous with drawing cartoons on the back of business cards, has published the manifesto How To Be Creative, with some interesting thoughts [PDF]. Nothing I didn't know already, but still a good piece of work. The usual thanks for a link like this go to Rocky, who still hasn't got his own website. Which might be a good thing. Because I know it'll be mega-weird.More - and other - manifestos at ChangeThis.

Specialised. Illustration Magazine is devoted to early pulp and advertising illustration and I haven't seen anything better. It's fab and I'm pretty sure I'll buy a subscription of their dead tree editions. Best thing is, the first 6 issues are online as downloadable PDFs. Free of charge. This is fantastic.

Coping with Clients. Jim Coudal is going to love this. Clientcopia: to cope with difficulties of a client attaining professional services and act to overcome them, despite that client's blatant stupidity. Many thanks to Quarsan for the link.

Busy Weekend. Back from rainy Brussels for the weekend and it's going to be busy:First I want to try out the Technorati Macro for Radio, and then I want to see if I can implement Peter Breul's Comments System on my own server. Harry Schley was so kind sending me the scans of the 1973 Corgi Toys catalogue, so that one has to go up as well. And some good news: Kosmonautentraum is back at last! Lots of thanks for pointing this out go to Kellerkind, who is back as well (BTW, Anneke - how's your iBook doing?). Looks like a perfect world.

Obsessed with Thunderball. Fantastic website dealing with all things Thunderball: brochures, programmes, posters, covers, cards, artworks, interviews - it's exhausting. And great.Update: I've removed the link. There's a weird script embedded in the site code. For further info, see the comments below. Update #2: Nobody seems to know exactly what's going on, the site seems to be ok, and I've relinked.

One Week Brussels. Work was hell, but I'm not going to start writing about work here. Instead let's move on to the fantastic dinner we had at Piazza Navona, one of the very best Italian restaurants.Even more recommendable are Quarsan's steaks; Zoe, Rocky, Quarsan and I had lots of fun. The highlight of the week. More stuff later. I'm tired - Eurostar and London Tube together are just terrible. The picture is taken from this great site (if you're into books).
