I found a digital Camera in the Woods. As Horst says, some sort of Blair Digicam Project. Catspiders and robots included. Even better are the 42 pages of rather naive comments. Via Hebig, via Coudal and probably a thousand others.

Ei leck mich in die Täsch. I found them. The old negatives. With titles like:Wayne County/Coroners/Johnny Moped/ Hamburg - no date Hamburg, The Damned, 19.10. 1977 Ratinger Hof, 20.5.1978 Okie-Dokie, Neuss, 31.12.79 - 1.1.1980 - Fehlfarben, Male Neat, Practice (no date) Neat (no date) Lou Reed live Münster, 2.4.1977 Lou Reed, May 1979 Düsseldorf ... and so on. If my scanner's up to it (most of the images are on Ilford HP5 (pushed) and are very grainy and dense) expect an update soon. If not, I'll have to get them scanned somewhere else. Be patient. Picture shows the late Martin Pfeiffer, lead singer of The Neat. Update: Bugger this. I've ordered a new scanner.

The Final Frontier [2]. Celestia, a 3D Space Simulator. Fab. Available for almost all operating systems. Celestia is a free real-time space simulation that lets you experience our universe in three dimensions. Unlike most planetarium software, Celestia doesn't confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy. All travel in Celestia is seamless; the exponential zoom feature lets you explore space across a huge range of scales, from galaxy clusters down to spacecraft only a few meters across. A 'point-and-goto' interface makes it simple to navigate through the universe to the object you want to visit.

1979 Deutschland. This is a special for NSA and MacGeek. The bad news first: I couldn't find the binder with the negatives anywhere. But - and this is the good news - I found a few old prints and set up a quick'n dirty gallery. I didn't do any retouching on those prints, just a bit of moving the levels in Photoshop. And if I'll ever find those damn negatives, then there's more to come. Enjoy. Now where on Earth is that binder ... ?Update: The Ratinger Hof Homepage (1, 2).

Build your own Cinderella Castle. Page 42 collects all the games and models that were included in the German Mickey Mouse Magazine. Fab, absolutely fab.Have you ever build your own Cinderella castle? Or a complete western fort? Readers of the German weekly "Micky Maus" might reminisce about such things when asked this question. Unfortunately often none of the done handicrafts survived until today. So all left are childhood memories of cutting out, folding and gluing. Until now...!
