More Ruhrgebiet. Photos by Thomas Lehr. "Over a period of 250 years the effect of coalmining and heavy industry changed the appearance of this area. Villages here grew into small towns, and these in turn grew and expanded into one large town. Today with the disappearance of the mines and the furnaces, this region is again going through a change. Because of this, only in a very few places you can see the origins of the towns development on the landscape. Suicide. I'm desperately trying to find the original ticket of the Suicide/Elvis Costello gig in Hamburg 1978/79? Audimax ... where the hell can it be? I was there! Must be somewhere, I just can't find it. Go: Instead of the original just an iTunes impression then. Well, Suicide were great. New York madness. The audience, they just ... left. Treasure Island, Part 2. I already had a Treasure Island link a while ago, now here is the man himself, Robert Louis Stevenson. This is a compact little website with a wealth of pictures and illustrations. "The University of South Carolina marked the centenary of Robert Louis Stevenson's death in 1894 with a special exhibition illustrating his life and writing career. Drawing on the excellent Stevenson holdings in the University Libraries' Department of Rare Books and Special Collections and on additional items from the G. Ross Roy Collection of Scottish Literature , the original exhibit included most of Stevenson's first editions, the early magazine publication of Treasure Island and other adventure stories, and a full range of his travel writings, sensation fiction such as the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , and later Scottish novels. Exactly. Bloated code. The DTP application Calamus for Atari ST/TT fitted comfortably on two Floppy Disks; was much better than today's Quark and used only little RAM.
